Piper J. Distel

The Local Perspective

In this episode we interview Piper J. Distel. Piper works with Penny and Pound Theatre Productions but outside of her involvement there, Piper is an avid local performer in and around the Waterloo Region area.

Piper has been performing since she was little and her passion for the arts have continued to grow ever since. Piper is also a playwright and has written two musicals for Penny and Pound, and is currently working on writing the companies third original musical which will be performed this year. Lori Distel has been the lyricist for all three of these musicals as well.

Piper shares about the hardships of everything coming to a halt and the differences of a pre and post pandemic world within rehearsal and performance spaces. Piper provides her thoughts around the changing industry and how we can push for advancement.
